I saw the film this weekend and can't convey how much it touched me as I have a special love and concern for children. My kids and grandchild all suffer from divorce and their mother's abuses. I have always tried to be strong, reliable, encouraging. A film like this bolsters my spirit, gives me hope and confirms what a friend told me-that it is in God's plan that I have been and must continue to be there for them. Lost Boy, the Next Chapter won the award for the Audience Favorite Best Documentary at the 2009 Riverside International Film Festival.

Greg, your story, Lost Boy is compelling…. I cannot convey how inspired I have been as I searched my own life as a mother … thinking of things I could have done and things I should not have done.

These words you spoke are still resonating in my mind and heart…”The life you lived as a child has brought you to where you are now”. It is time for me to let go of some resentments with my birthmother and with a friend who did me wrong.

I appreciate your truthfulness, directness, and transparency as you tell us what God wants from us.

I got a chance to see your movie last night. And I could relate to it. I have a son who is 14 and is somewhat of a ”Lost Boy”.

After watching your movie and hearing you speak, I began to cry. It made me realize so much. We think we are the only ones going through whatever were going through, and as a mother we sometimes think our kids are the only ones going through whatever there going through. I just want to thank you for sharing your story, it has spoken to me in so many ways.

I pray that your story will reach many “Lost Boys” and lead them HOME.

Lost Boy, for me, had a bitter-sweet ending. There will always be pain and painful memories while here on earth, in this tent of flesh. The LORD does give beauty for ashes and joy for mourning and nothing compares to His unfailing love. It will never be perfect until we see Him and are with Him for all eternity. So, Pastor Greg Laurie is a perfect example of what to do while we’re here on this earth. And that is to connect with this dying generation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and through our testimony no matter what we have or haven’t been through. Someone out there needs to hear it.
