Mentoring Matters

Mentoring Matters

Mentoring Matters is an eight-week study designed to encourage and train women in their high calling, which is to honor God’s Word in their hearts and homes. This small group study is based upon the principles laid out in Titus 2, where the older women in the body of Christ are instructed to promote and model by example the kind of living that reflects God’s presence in the home. Participants complete a short homework lesson each week, and then meet to share their answers with a group of no more than six other ladies. Women will grow in their understanding of these biblical truths and will also make new friends, enjoying the fellowship of other Christian women. Topics include: Honoring God’s Word, Loving your husband, Loving your children, Keepers of the home (cooking, housecleaning, laundry, etc), Stewardship (resources, time, energy, own health) and Inner person of the heart (attributes of godly woman).

  1. Humility Review by Jackie

I loved learning humility, especially with being submissive and helpful and encouraging to my husband. I realize now that life isn't all about me and my wants and needs. I realize now that all I possess, including my children, are all on loan from God and I now treat them accordingly.

  • More Prepared Now Review by Ana

I am single and after doing this study I feel more prepared to know if a future man will be the one God has chosen for me. I am not all that prepared to be married. I am thankful for the teachings on both the godly wife and mother section. (Posted on 2008-08-28 23:00:08)

  • Group Leader Summary Review by Becky

The chapters on Honoring God's Word, and the Inner Person of the Heart were probably the most mentioned by the ladies, although all of the other chapters did get mentioned as well. The chapter on Loving Your Husband was significant to a single girl, and the chapter on Loving your Children was significant to a childless woman. (Posted on 2008-08-28 22:58:30)

  • Back to the Basics Review by Shirl

It was good for me to be brought back to basics in the presence of these other gals who are so zealous for the Lord and His Word. (Posted on 2008-08-28 22:54:51)
